Inspired by the early style of Le Corbusier and the Mediterranean architectural ideas of Bernard Rudofsky and Josep Lluís Sert, a younger generation of architects found ideal conditions in Cadaqués to explore the future of the Mediterranean house. This small fishing village on the Spanish Costa Brava was not only their creative haven but also a summer retreat for some of the 20th century's greatest artistic figures, including Dalí, Picasso, Miró, and Duchamp.

This new book features period photos that capture the distinctive style and ambiance of Cadaqués, along with 22 homes designed by architects such as Federico Correa, Alfonso Milà, José Antonio Coderch, Francesc Joan Barba Corsini, Peter Harnden, Lanfranco Bombelli, Oscar Tusquets, and Lluís Clotet. Edited by Nacho Alegre, the book includes an introduction by Oscar Tusquets and explores the friendships and influences among this group of architects, detailing how their unique architectural styles came to be.
